Patrick Dempsey's Obituary, March 2, 1954, Newark Evening News Patrick Dempsey of 215 Brighton Avenue, East Orange died yesterday at his home following a heart attack. He was 60. Born in Ireland, he came to the United States and to the Oranges 27 years ago. Mr. Dempsey was employed as a base operator at Westinghouse Electric Corp. Bloomfield, He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Name Church, East Orange. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hackett Dempsey; three daughters, Mrs. James Dean of East Orange and the Misses Elizabeth and Patricia Dempsey of the home address; a brother, Michael Dempsey in Ireland; five sisters, Mrs. Samuel Mullins of Essex Fells, Mrs. Arthur Boyd of San Francisco, Mrs. Ellie Murphy of New York, Mrs. Josephine Helping of Orange and Mrs. Thomas Hackett in Ireland, and a grand-child. The funeral will be Thursday at 8:15 A.M. from the Frank J. Codey & Sons funeral home, 69 High Street, Orange. A solemn high requiem mass will be offered at 9 in Holy Name Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
